Belcarra/Buntzen Lake

Although mid-range trails are a bit scarce (they're almost all stupidly easy or incredibly tough), Belcarra is still a fun place to ride. Beginners can follow the access road, while the more adventurous can follow any one of a number of trails into the forest. As well, across the road from the main mountain biking area is a little slick rock playground for people who like that sort of thing (hoping up three foot boulders, falling down on solid granite...that sort of thing). Just down the road are the easy Buntzen Lake trails.
Access: From Ioco Rd. in Port Moody, head northwest. Right on Sunneyside Road/1st Ave. Take left at fork in the road. Most people park about 1.4 km beyond fork near the gate.
