Buntzen Lake Recreation Area
Buntzen Lake Recreation Area is situated across from the Burrard Inlet from Barnet Marine Park. Buntzen Lake is popular in the summer for fishing, boating and swimming. Visitors should be warned however, that the lake is much cooler than the nearby Sasamat Lake in Belcarra Regional Park.

Belcarra Regional Park
Along with the Buntzen Lake Recreation Area, Belcarra Regional Park is located across Burrard Inlet from Barnet Marine Park. Home to Sasamat Lake, the park's beaches are incredibly popular in the summer so sun-worshipers and swimmers should arrive early. There are several trails that wind through the park and other activities include boating and picnicking.

This park boasts a white sand beach on a warm-water swimming lake. Visitors can also take a scenic hike around the lake. The park features public washrooms and a concession stand.
